Sheriff's Officer Luke Werner was stabbed three times in the neck on November 12, 2022 at the HEB in Riverside Dr in Austin, TX while addressing a shoplifter. Officer Werner was working private security at the local when the attack occurred. He was rushed to the trauma center where he underwent emergency surgery to repair the damage.
